Tomatoes

The Pomodoro Technique breaks work into fixed intervals — traditionally twenty-five minutes — separated by short breaks. Each interval is a pomodoro, plural of the Italian word for tomato.

Plenty of apps will run that timer. Tomatoes also kept the tally, so the useful question stopped being how long you had been sitting at your desk and became how many intervals you had actually finished.
